Hi, my name is David. I'm studying CS at Chapman. I develop software & hardware solutions that assist those in challenging circumstances.
About me
At the age of 18, a near-fatal car accident left me paralyzed from the chest down, marking the beginning of a profoundly transformative academic journey. I've embraced resilience and determination, refusing to be defined by my circumstances -- and I've committed myself to supporting those in similar circumstances through my experiences and abilities as a student in a wheelchair.
Working in research groups and receiving research grants for developing accessibility-related technology has allowed me to materialize my aspirations while also experiencing the importance of inclusive innovation.
